Applied Learning Programme (ALP)
Deyi’s Applied Learning Programme (ALP) has three approaches to develop our Sec 1 to 3 students’ critical 21st century media and communications skills. One of which is a whole-school approach (Tier 1) to equip students with baseline skills on media production and journalism (e.g., storyboarding, filming, animation, audio track layering, chroma key green screen technology, editing, transitions, sub-titling) through the Mi-ké-mθn Video Workshop and Mi-ké-mθn Augmented Reality Journalism Trail.

At Deyi, Arts Education is an integral part of our students’ holistic development. With our mission “Arts Alive - Live, Work, Learn and Play with the Arts”, we seek to create a vibrant arts culture through programmes that will provide our students with opportunities to discover their interests and talents. It also aims to nurture our students’ character and groom them into gracious citizens of tomorrow while helping them develop their passion for the Arts.

Student Leadership
In Deyi, we believe that all students can lead. We have in place a rigourous Student Leadership Development programme that seeks to inculcate in every Deyian the knowledge, skills and values of a leader. Deyi adopts the Servant Leadership model in which we believe that to lead is to serve and the primary motivation to lead stems from the impetus to serve and contribute to the community. Our Student Leaders endeavour to be role models to their peers, are upright in character and are equipped with skills that enable them to contribute to the betterment of their lives and those around them.
